Hello, Im looking for a flashcard for the 3ds.
I understood that there isn't a flashcard that can play 3d games. which of the flashcards on the market do you think is best, and which of them is capable of playing 3d games if someone will be able to hack them, which of them have an active team who post a lot of updates for their firmware, which of them have the best user interface, and if you can please write what is the downsides of each card.

It's the right section, but as of now, there exists no cart that can play 3DS games. Crown3DS claims to have a working flashcart, but thus far it's unconfirmed (all we have is a questionable video). As for good DS-mode flashcarts, I'd say Supercard DS2 is the best and with a built-in processor, it's capable of many things no other card can do (SNES and GBA emulation, impressive homebrew systems, etc.

does it have updates for each 3ds update and if the supercard team will be able to hack 3d games will i need to buy a new one?

It *might* be possible, but improbable yonilx :

1) The protocol between DS/DSi Carts and 3DS carts are almost completely changed (http://3dbrew.org/wiki/Gamecards under "Protocol") so some serious stuff would need to happen regardless of any current DS cart.

2) Likely flash cart makers will make you buy a new cart for 3d games even if they could release an update/patch because they can make a lot of $$$ with a new cart

I wouldn't expect a full flashcart for a while though...plus the system needs some time to grow, otherwise piracy will continue to drag developers away from Nintendo. No developers = No games = Dead.

It wouldn't be possible to get a DS flashcart to run 3DS games, so that might is out of place if you ask me.

I agree that the system needs time to grow though, but even so, it'll still end up with a huge library of crappy games and a few good ones like the Wii and DS.

no...at least not right now..fall all current cards, many will load on the new 3DS console, but will only support play of backed up NDS/DSi games. If you want to play ds games on your 3ds, check out the acekard 2i ( http://www.gamekool.com/acekard-2iak-2i-support-3dsdsidslds-p-217.html )

what do you mean in dsi games ?
games using the camera or something unique to the dsi ? i didnt see any dsi game except for estore games .

So, after all, can i play simple DS games on 3DS? I have a Acekard and with some frequency as updates, what it means (the updates)?!

If you have an AceKard 2i with the latest updates so that it is compatible with the 3DS firmware then yes you will be able to play DS games on your 3DS.

damn it...
Crown3DS is just another chinese flashcart site...
i don't think the 3DS games flashcart will come out so far.

so cool so fun...

That site doesn't seem legit. When you complete the checkout process it will act like you are going to paypal's website, but it is a clone and phishing for your paypal info. Maybe I stand correctly, seems like the site just might not like FF.

I ordered a pair, they are being shipped currently.

Do not buy any of those carts from r4king as they are www.r4isdhc.com carts and they are the shittest company to make r4 carts as they abandon them after 6 months. The one from digitopz is a www.r4ids.cn R4i-Gold cart and these are the best R4 clone carts you can get as they at least support Wood.

The reason there are so many colours for the r4's is because there are many, many carts calling themselves R4 and most of them use different designs and are of varying quality. The best R4 carts use the Wood kernel.
