3ds error occurs with process name: act

wanted to change settings on my new 3ds xl but i keep getting this error:

"An error occurred (ErrDisp)

Meaning what, exactly? Are you trying to starti the System Settings app?

Was it working before? Did you change something?

yeah when i go into the settings app it works but when i go into like the NNID settings it crashes and gives me that. does it have to do with the servers shutdown or is it because of something i did while modding my 3DS?

I have no idea what you did while modding your 3DS, so how should I know!?

If you've been messing with Pretendo, then that might be responsible. (I guess Pretendo is working for some people, but I for one would would wait for further development before touching it.)
