Hacking 3DS and the Dsi XL

Just came home with the bronze. I traded back in my original DSi for this massive beast.

Tell me, what do you think of it? Is it worth getting? I already pre ordered mine and its coming on Wednesday..how heavy is it? Is it much heavier the the ds lite..

Yeah, it's about 100 grams heavier, but it actually makes it easier to play for me. I don't know, but I don't like it when it feels like my DS Lite is about to fly away. It's totally worth it. I can stare at the box all day long.

Yeah, it's about 100 grams heavier, but it actually makes it easier to play for me. I don't know, but I don't like it when it feels like my DS Lite is about to fly away. It's totally worth it. I can stare at the box all day long.

Did you have any issues putting in your flash card..I have an AceKard and I was told that the DSi XL is a tiny bit bigger so the acekard might be too small to fit in perfectly into the dsi xl, so just wondering if you had any problems doing so..mine is being shipped out today, I cant wait to get it!!

You have the AceKard 2i too?? So you did not have any issues with it not fitting or anything like that? I did not want to deal with putting in a piece of paper to make it work, too much hassle..What color DSi XL did you get? I ordered the Burgandy, I read it looks like a red wine color.I am going to eventually buy a pink case for it since that is the color of my ds lite, plus love pink

I chose both. I picked up my pre-orded DSi XL yesterday, and it is wonderful. As for the 3DS I can't wait to see it, and I will be placing a preorder for it as well. I want to see orange, yellow, purple, and clear.

Sticking with my ds lite right now, I see no point in the xl. Probably get the 3ds after it's been out for a bit, assuming it's not gimmicky. I love how my crimson red ds looks, I hope they have the same color scheme for the 3ds.

Got my bronze DSi XL yesterday (it's a very dark brown color with a gold/bronze matte finish on the bottom/sides. The color is so dark, it almost looks black unless you compare the color to something that's actually black).
The stores I went to that day (Futureshop, EBgames, Walmart) didn't sell much, and there was some kid in Walmart shouting "I didn't know they made an XL version...". I think it's because of poor advertising.

My Acekard fits, but sometimes I have to re-insert it to get it to not wiggle. It works fine though (BTW, it wiggles in my broken DS lite, so I don't think the XL is the problem).

We know the 3DS will come with DS compatibility...Is it possible for Nintendo to upscale the DS resolution on the 3DS....? If so, ****...

The fact that the 3DS was announced a couple of days before XL's North American release saves them the amount of shit they would get from their XL customers. I don't even want to think about the reactions people would give off had Nintendo announced the 3DS AFTER the North American XL release...DSi & DSi XL situation all over again

I saw a pink case on amazon, a hard metal case so I will probably be getting that one..From what others have told me, putting in the AceKard doesn't give any issues but I will see what happens when I get it..as far as the 3DS is concerned, I can always get it next year when it comes out. Basically the reason why I got the DSI Xl is because of the screen size(Compared to the ds ite) and the fact that it works with the flash cards, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered

I voted "both", but after a few hours with my Bronze DSi XL I have to reconsider.
I do not expect to ever use my DSi again and maybe not my DSL, either.

IF Nintendo makes a 3DS XL AND someone makes a flashcard that works with it AND there are even a few good games for it (better than any DSi-only game so far), then I will probably buy one. Otherwise, I will happily stick with my Big Beautiful DSi XL and forsake all others! It must also be backwardly compatible with AK2i and iEDGE for .nds rom files and homebrew, including moonshell2.
So - I am changing my vote on the 3DS to: maybe, but probably not.

Sigh - I am changing my mind again.
If Golden Sun 3 is going to be on the 3DS, I will have to get a 3DS.
But I hope I can also play it (in 2D) on my DSiXL.

If the Ds3 is going to be crap then i am not going to buy it only if a newer pokemon game wll be released for it i only bought a ds for pokemon diamond . Yes i know i love pokemon and some off you dont but afterall with a flashcard i did enjoy my ds very much.

No point in getting an XL with 3DS coming soon. I'd even get the original DSi over that, but then again I'd probably already would own one. Would like 3DS to come in black, blue, white, and red. A Virtual Boy black and red version would be pretty neat.

I'm going to preorder my DSi XL as it's not out in aus/nz until the 15th. Will defiantly get the 3DS.
