You know that shitty mock that Kotaku did with that article? They updated that article:

Update: Since confirming the details of the upcoming Nintendo 3DS, Kotaku has heard from a number of other sources about another exciting feature for the portable. It turns out that the white nub in the circuit board photo is an analog stick, one we're told is a real (short) stick, not a PSP-like nub. (This ties in with an earlier report that the 3DS would have some sort of "3D joystick.") The 3DS will have this stick and a d-pad.

A real stick?

I still disagree that the two screens will be differently-sized on the final hardware. Early reports said they were close enough together to function as one, if desired, and that effect would be ruined if one retained the old 4x3 aspect ratio while they other went widescreen.

Also, I'd think China would be the last place Nintendo would send a devkit. Sorry, but it probably wouldn't even take an hour from the thing being delivered for a factory to be devoted to pumping out crappy copies of it.

Hell YEAH!
3D Metroid/Any FPS would be freaking awesome with an analog nub.

Stronger then current hand helds, including the iPhone 3GS? Now that would be awesome

That is what I reckon. Also pretty sure it would feel a bit crappy to play some touch screens games on a smaller screen and just have the bigger one as a menu (like when you play DS games). Even if the top is touch too I reckon it wouldn't be as comfortable perhaps.

The Sharp parallax barrier LCDs that recently went into production are touchscreen, if I remember correctly. 854x480, 3-D touchscreens... personally I'm hoping both 3DS screens are that. If not 3-D, then the bottom screen should at least, also be 854x480 and touchscreen.

We want a fucking image!
We only have to wait four more days at the most, maybe there'll be a leak before or even some games leaked.

Its like the Wii all over again.

If we're lucky, we might even get two analogue sticks

Then Nintendo will finally rule over Sony's handhelds. Then we will live happily ever after.
Nintendo ALREADY p0wns Sony. It's just that you see more hipster kids with PSPs on the streets than cool kids with DS's.
