Hacking 3DS 6.1.0-0 and gateway

Hi,

Im new to this community and I need some help as i got a 2nd hand 3DS with gateway cards on 6.1.0-0. I tried all the usual methods but the problem is I can't even boot into GW mode. It's says after i click on the game cartridge, error has occured. And i need to power off.

I tried upgrading and downgrading to different firmware but all the usual exploits such as ds profile hack, browser hack and soundhack don't seem to work. I can't use the browser since it has never been updated through wifi only by cartridge.
I can click on the soundhack in the sound app but it says i can't open the file.

What am i doing wrong and what is the best way to tackle this problem?

The best way to tackle this problem is to throw the gateway in the garbage and install cfw

I want to install cfw but i can't use browser and all tutorials use browser method. Whenever i open browser it says need to update first.
