I guess I should lower my standards for lower hardware. God, what has this whole "HD IS BAD" fad done to us? I cut the Wii a whole series of breaks for being streets behind in terms of hardware but my basket of sunshine has run out here.
Like I said before, the Vita does not have a 'HD' screen (960 × 540). Not that you would notice even if it did.
Consoles need to be comparable in power in order to get multi-platform games. With the 3DS and Vita, multi-platform games aren't needed. The beauty of handhelds is that developers can cater to the advantages of each system; 3DS with the 3D and two screens, Vita with the OLED screen and great specs.
The only thing that should motivate one to purchase one console over the other is the game library which is entirely subjective to ones gaming preferences. I for one am lookingforward to Uncharted, Gravity Daze and LBP on the Vita and Kid Icarus, Professor Layton and Fantasy Life on the
Vita 3ds. That's why I plan on getting a Vita too and reaping the benefits of both purchases.
Instead we get Xenoblade which everyone heralds as a "fantastic JRPG" even though I could just nab Lost Odyssey for $10 and get a much better one with better graphics. Oh, and I can get it in the US too.
