My old 3DS was on 11.5, however i didn't and couldn't install flip note without dating thus couldn't do the new home-brew exploit.

I have now updated to 11.6, I am now waiting for the next home-brew exploit method, however how do i know what to install? What can i do now?

Just wait for the new method? Is there any twitters i should stay watching for future updates? Also, how long do you recon the new 11.6 exploit will take to be released?

What do you mean? I'm now on 11.6... its impossible for me to get home-brew right now, even with a flash 'card' (i presume you mean)??

Just buy a flashcart
thats works on EVERY version

he's talking about ntrboot, which is an exploit that works on any FW version.
here are the list of working flashcarts atm:

• R4i Gold 3DS (RTS)
• Acekard 2i
• R4i Gold 3DS “Starter”
• R4i Ultra
• R4 3D Revolution
• Infinity 3 R4i
• DSTT (some flash chips only!)

If you are going to reply to a thread asking for help dont be so vague, dont tell them to just buy a flashcart, imagine you asking for directions and they tell you to buy a gps system...

just tell them what they need to do in order to do what they want, in this case tell them:

You can use a flashcart for NTRBoot injection

at 11.6 ntrboot is easier and more affordable than dsiwarehax or (obviously) hardmod, so i imagine he just gave the OP the short answer.
unless you can't buy a flashcart because of legal/financial reasons (like me) theres really no point in doing any of the other exploits
