Hello! I have a 2DS XL and have recently been looking into the possibility of using custom programs or firmware to enable 3D. I’d buy a 3DS, but as of right now they’re all going for absurd prices online. I found a program that can allow the system to display the stereoscopic double imagery, but I am unclear on whether or not the 2DS XL has a parallax barrier.

I tried testing to see if it had one using the developer config app, and controlling the “FLASH_TOP” config seemed to display the characteristic “scanline” look of the 3DS.

To be clear, I have no experience hacking. I’m just curious if this is even possible.

This is assuming that the 2DS XL also has the extra parallax barrier.

Would there be any kind of way to make a crappy DIY parallax barrier then? Or maybe some way to program the top screen to not render certain strips of pixels?
