Well, I haven't tried it yet.
Let's talk about this. Let's make a topic.

They're good for certain things, like the official Labo VR software and the little additions to games like BOTW and Captain Toad. I also used them for Virtual Boy emulation in Retroarch (needs a custom shader which is on this forum somewhere), which worked well, but now Red Viper is out on 3DS that's my preferred way to play VB.
Might be able to watch 3D movies with it, idk if it's been tried, but the same shader as for Retroarch might work if the media player homebrew can use it.
Compared to the official Labo VR headset, the unofficial ones offer a strap so you don't have to hold the headset up to your face (can remove the joycons for less weight), and the shaped plastic ones are likely to be more comfortable than the cardboard (and much cheaper than the official kit, you can pirate the Labo VR software if you want it).

360p per eye is brutal lol and it's magnified. You can see every single pixel and they're massive 🤣
Plus, not to mention, the Switch is quite bulky and heavy. Which really limits the VR to short tech demos and playing through full length games (like BotW) in VR is out of the question.

Complete junk. It's not even real VR. You're not in some first person view like real VR, you just see the game as normal but can control the camera with your heard instead of the sticks. It's as lame as those fake VR headsets you can put your phone in. Waste of even $13 bucks. Very, very few Switch games even support this fake VR to begin with.

I made one of it, using plastic cardboard and lenses from a hardware store, used it some time to play Captain Toad until I got sick he he he, was fun, but definitively will never spend more than 1 USD on it. not worth the money.
