2DS XL Top Screen Dead

It looks like the top screen on my New 2DS XL died for some reason. It's just black with one horizontal red line. Anybody know any easy way to fix this, or a place where one can reliably get a replacement console?

Is this a new 2ds or a old 2ds you got?

how long have you had the console for? And do you remember what abouts you had been doing the time before that happened to the screen?

I've had it for around two and a half years. Haven't used it for maybe a year, but it's just been on the shelf for that time.

I'm tempted to just uninstall all the hax (bottom screen works well enough to do everything), and send to Nintendo for a repair/replacement.

with how long its been. Its either a full purchase replacement screen if they even service 3ds consoles at all.

I checked, it's $65 with with shipping and tax, which seems pretty reasonable. A lot cheaper than buying a used on eBay these days.
