Hardware 2DS XL - System crashes with error when WiFi is enabled.

I have a 2DS XL that seems to be working fine apart from the WiFi, while it is enabled, it will crash after a minute or so.

I have seen plenty of people solving this on the other 3DS / 2DS system by re-seating the wifi card, but the 2DS XL has the Wifi on the motherboard.

Is this a case of changing the chip out completely? Has anyone else with this issue managed to fix it?
