So I got a 2DS on 7.2.0.17-E

I downloaded both 9.0.0-20E and 9.2.0-20E.
I can boot into Ninja Hax 1.1b from 2014 (Ninja Hax 2.5 doesn't have QR for my firmware)
I load up the sysUpdater just fine.
When I press the "A" update it just kicks me out.

I have on the SD card...
/3ds/sysupdate/sysUpdater.3dsx
/3ds/sysupdate/sysUpdater.smdh
/updates/<ALL CIA's from ZIP>

I tried it first with the 9.2 CIA's... kicked to menu
Then removed then tried 9.0 CIA's... kicked to menu.

Using sysUpdater last modified 05-01-2016

What am I doing wrong?

have you tried the .cia version of sysUpdater? you can install it using the .3dsx version of FBI while in sysnand.

make sure you're using rxtools pasta mode/minipasta/something if you don't want a brick

This 2DS is stock as a rock without any extra software.
but that's not my point.

if you need it again: https://github.com/profi200/sysUpdater/releases/download/0.4.2/sysUpdater_0_4_2.zip

the .3dsx requires extra things that ninjhax alone can't provide. so you should try the .cia build.

first, use this: miniPasta.zip

when you run it, it will put you in sysnand with signature patches.

next, go to ninjhax and use something like FBI to install sysUpdater.cia while in sysnand. once you reboot, go back into miniPasta and go to sysUpdater which is now at the Home Menu. try that.

I was asked to leave a casino in Vegas years ago, because somebody asked me for change for $20 and I made change for them. The casino claimed it was against they're rules and I had to leave. I feel Karma got them back cause the casino was torn down couple years ago.
