Hi,

i bought a faulty 2DS on ebay. The top LCD was broken. Everything else, including touchscreen, was working fine.

I replaced the screen and since then i had this issue with the touchscreen

it seems to be constantly pressed in one direction. I attach a video

i tried to place the sticker between the digitizer and the LCD as seen on many videos. The result is always the same.

Any idea how to fix this? Replacing the digitizer? I saw a videos from team banana who suggest to put some tape on the sides of the digitizer, tried that: same issue.

That's not a screen issue, the circle pad or D-pad is registering a down press.

Apparently, a spec of dirt or dust can cause the digitizer to register an input.
If you're absolutely sure the circle pad and d-pad are good, you'll need to disassembly the 2DS again and try cleaning the digitizer, sticker, and bottom LCD with rubbing alcohol, q-tip, white thin coffee paper, and Scotch magic tape to be as contaminant free as possible.

Use the hot shower bathroom as a pseudo clean room; you might need to get neked for this and put your stuff in a cabinet until it cools down. Don't bother with canned air as that shit often introduces more dust where you don't want it.

If all else fails, replace the digitizer.

sometimes i get the cursor to stop, and the touchscreen just don't work at all. I checked the d-pad and the circle pad, they looks fine.
Yes, the touchscreen won't work in the home menu when it's registering a circle pad/D-pad press, seen people with this issue before and when they disconnected the circle pad the issue went away. You can tell it's not a touchscreen issue because if it was the cursor wouldn't be scrolling down it would simply be stuck in one spot.

If you're able to get into a game you might notice that the touchscreen actually works there.

I tried disconnecting the Circle Pad, and also removing the rubber from the Dpad. Same issue, cursor stuck, when it stops the touchscreen doesn't work at all. If i start a game the touchscreen its not working, the Dpad/Circle PAD are ok.
