Hardware 2DS hardmod problem

One of my friends foolishly tried downgrading Mset on 2DS, and is now prompted to turn the 3D switch all the way up on his 2DS after formating.
Given that I know about soldering I tried doing a Hardmod on his console, because he had a Nand backup (his console was originally on 9.2). I checked each and every connection at least three or four times, but I still can't get windows to detect the console (it's like it doesn't even exist) nor will win32diskimager recongnize it either. I'm actually using an Anker USB 3.0 card reader, and using the following image as a reference for Nand pinout soldering points on the motherboard

The 2DS powers on correctly. If it's not connected to the Sd reader, it runs like usual (given that I can't go further on because of the 3D switch problem ) and if I connect it to the reader, it states the 0000....400 error, which i've read is the one that it should state.
Any ideas on what to check/try to make it work? Thanks a lot!

the clk and cmd pins in the sd card are switched , switch them and it will work

I did, but it stated error 0000....403 on bluescreen and no results yet on pc showing the device x.x

is your 2ds still working normally without conecting it to the ankor adapter?
well , just to remind you , you should connect the sd adapter to your ankor , power your 2ds then connect it to pc
if this doesn't work ,maybe you should try another sc card reader

Yep, 2DS works normally if I turn it ON without the adapter (though I get stuck on the "turn the 3D slider all the way up" thingy). Will keep on trying on other computers and changing SD adapters. Thanks

Having the same problem (only i bricked my 2DS while trying to update A9LH)
Hardmodded it accoridng to the picture above, switching CLK and CMD, still, 2 blue screens but windows doesn't recognize it as a removable drive
(Yes, i know i asked in 2 other threads already, but nobody had the same problem on a 2DS, so i just noticed this thread)

The Anker reader doesn't work for all members with a hard mod. My last N3DS wouldn't be recognised by Windows. My new N3DS does. It can sometime be down to luck of the draw.

FYI, I'm not in any way trying to say that this could be the exact problem. I'm just giving you a suggestion.

well , there is now easy way , update to 10.7 using recovery combo , and downgrade back to 9.2(need oot or cubic to run the hb_loader)
there is also another methode : if you can get a sky3ds (orange button) ; then just look for demo roms for your region and write it the the sky and run it , it will update your 3ds correctly
