“Chinatown Wars is much bigger than anything we have ever done before [in terms of scope]: more odd jobs, deeper missions, and more moments of over-the-top action. We have a huge interaction with the Rockstar Social Club, a massive [narcotics trafficking] game that would stand alone on its own. The list goes on and on; this thing is huge. We are very proud of all of the PSP games we have made, especially the two GTA games, but this game is far bigger.” - Rockstar Leeds president Gordon Hall

I know, this is not a game, but as everyone knows, there will be a DSiWare to download exclusive Nintendo DSi games. Nintendo did not announce any specific DSi software or a price for the machine, which will sell for about $180 in Japan. After his presentation, Fils-Aime told a group of financial experts who pressed him for pricing info that the price in Japan should not be interpreted as the price for the handheld's U.S. release.

In Angel Hero, you assume the role of guardian angel St.John, who is a loyal employee of the Special Department of Heaven Office. St. John is tasked with eliminating a terrible threat in the post-nuclear city of Hallow, where evil has taken over. As St. John, you'll fly through the Astral world tracking down enemies and delivering powerful blows to enemies who stand in your way. The game uses cell-shading technologies to deliver smooth comic style 3D graphics. The game engine makes characters look very detailed. As for the city, created in full 3D, it appears to be very atmospheric and mysterious. In addition to that, the game will amaze you with its fierce and spectacular battles.

In KINGDOM HEARTS 358/2 Days, you will explore a variety of Disney worlds in not only single-player mode, but also in multiplayer missions made possible by the unique networking features of the Nintendo DS. Roxas and Axel were watching the sunset from their usual spot on the station’s clock tower after a long day of collecting “hearts” from the Heartless, as ordered by their organization. When their daily work ended, they often spent their evenings there. They talked about the day’s work and other things over ice cream.

As a marine, you are sent in with a secret mission into the lab complex built on the meteor crash site. You will travel through different locations – first on the ground, then deeper underground (security rooms, living sectors, offices, labs, stock rooms, headquarters), then even deeper into the meteor rock. Your aim: to discover mysteries about the meteor by solving quests. The final quest comes deep down underneath the earth, where the biggest secret is hidden. Only you can survive this task and protect mankind.

Mario & Luigi is a winning formula. A person who is familiar with the series knows that the main feature is to focusing on the combination of Mario and Luigi. We do not have a lot of information for the moment, but we know that Bowser will be available as a playing character. Finally, the game is in the same graphical style as the other Mario and Luigi games, and has the same good battle system.

The basis of the level is pretty simple. It's all stylus based, so you can tap anywhere and Maxwell will move there, or you tap anything and Maxwell will have interaction with it automatically, so if it's a sword he'll know how to pick it up and then know when it's in his hand and know on the fly that he can now "attack" or "chop" something with it since it's a bladed tool, basically. So there's a little notepad icon at the upper right of the screen, and once you tap that a little pad comes down and you can literally write anything. There's also a keypad in there, so if you don't want to use your own writing you can just key it on in, and once you hit Ok – as long as you spell it correctly – will spawn in the world.

I had seen that game Angel Hero quite a while back. It seemed very obscure and caught my attention. The DS has way too few decent fully 3D games and I was looking forward to it. The problem is that it's been in limbo for quite some time, and it has no release date at all (not even a TBA-year). I wonder if it's still being made...

EDIT: actually, this USED to be called Way In Dusk. I guess it IS still in development since they changed the name. And I think those screens are new too! [IMG]

Let me also add a no-brainer: Mario and Luigi 3. Hope the entire game isn't inside Bowser though.

Aww man, C.O.R.E still doesn't have an official release?

Ah well, GTA:CW, and Moon DS will keep me satisfied for maybe the first 4 months of the new year.

It's DS so it can't have PSP-like (3D) graphics. But still, some DS games have good 3D effects, just think of the good ol' days when you were still playing a PS, only smaller. [IMG]

    And oh, no Scribblenauts?

Come 2nd Quarter of 2009, and there'll be even more great games.

Well, mostly English releases of those already released this year. [IMG]

    Samples are:

Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume
Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride (I don't know if this will be released by Q1 or Q2)
    Dragon Quest VI (?)
Tales of Innocence (not official release, the fan translation project by Absolute Zero)
    and many more others...
