    This is My situación:

My console (old 3ds XL) was on, I follow the 3ds guide to install luma and all that things but i never could install luma and I Freak out so I follow this guidehttps://3ds.guide/9.2.0-ctrtransfer
To Go back to the last update (but anything was installed luma etc) now im back with 11.2.0-35u but with a costumfirmware (every time that I unplugg the sd card when I try to turn on the system, the blue light is on and then after 1 second off and the screen is totally black)

*1) Can I just install legit cias??
(Because I fail trying to install luma i'm scared about bricking My console doing downgrade and all thath.... Legit cias seems like a very easy way to have some games)

*2) It's normal that My system only works when the SD card is inside?

(Thanks for helping me beforehand.Sorry for My bad English)

if you have a custom firmware you have luma and presumably arm9loaderhax.if you followed the holy bible 3ds.guide then there was a section that where it would have had you copy some files to the 3ds so that it would work without an sd card and no you can install more than just legit cias you can install any damn cia you'd like

You can now install all kinds of CIAs since you have custom firmware installed.
Yes, but it can be made to work without an SD card.

If you follow steps 7-12 here you will be able to boot without an SD card. This is on the page "installing a9lh".
