So I had to spend an hour or so yesterday setting up Platinum on my brother's DSTT because of the whole save corruption problem thing (it creates a 512kb save instead of 1mb..) and realised my Platinum save on my CycloDS is only 512kb.

Does it need some kind of fix as well? Do I have to pad it out to 1mb? If not, why does the DSTT require that then.. (our saves are compatible).

Thanks.

Yeah it's up to date, 1.54 proper release (not a BETA).

It has a normal 512KB save, no problems here...
I'm under the impression it has a 1mb save, hence the problems with the DSTT.

I know since all my save files on my Cyclo are 512kb, but since patching the DSTT, the save file it created is actually a megabyte, and there are posts all over that section asking how to 'expand' the save file size from 512 to 1024kb, and that after playing long enough to create a large enough save, it will corrupt due to not having enough room.

Even if it is fine, I guess I'm also seeking clarification as to why one needs a larger save file while the other doesn't.
