Hardware 15 3DS's later, finally found dual IPS!

Do all N3ds have IPs screens?

Why do you think I went through over 15 3D's via online, stores and Gamestop? To get one that had IPS panels, NOT TN panels

I didn't think it was this big of a deal for IPS screens. TN and IPS look the same unless your looking from a really awkward angle

Kidding, but not only can you get colors, those cases are (actually) inexpensive (at other retailers) and will save your hands from cramping.

I give it 8.5/10. The case will obscure one or two slots, but for saving your device from 'life', yeah, I'll deal with it.

TN has good colors when viewed from head-on, otherwise, IPS is needed if you sit at odd angles. Especially drunk-driving in Mario Kart and you don't know if you should feint for a greenshell or hold a banana for a redshell.

Maybe they meant non-XL?

Color, contrast and black levels are also very different from straight on angle from IPS vs TN
