Yep, and there is a good chance it will be a very long wait. After all, > 9.2 didn't even get a full kernel exploit, merely one that allowed downgrading.

I don't take what I say as a fact but... I don't think it should be very long. There's some really cool things to be revealed anytime soon™.

sorry guys but did anyone did put DBS along with import and title on sysnand folder? thats how gain to acess trough cias.

I updated Because i tried to downgrade but my n3ds got a soft brick and i had to use the recovery mode to fix it.
Now i have to wait months for another way to get a cfw

IMO, if anyone missed the bus, they sort of deserve it. We had a good 2 or so weeks of golden opportunity to downgrade. Nintendo seemed to take longer to release 10.4 than normal. There's not really any reason, as there probably aren't 10.4 systems in store with how new it is. A general rule of thumb, if you want to hack it, never update.

I wonder if one of those "cool things" is a bootloader/bootrom hack which would make it possible to boot directly into CFW (with no need for an entry point like menuhax) or even downgrade any 3ds without a previous nand.bin backup/install linux directly to sysnand.

Or better yet, sell it and get another 3ds since there's ton of 3ds out there with 10.3 or lower

10.4 downgrade method or cfw won't be out for a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time. We got lucky to have a way to downgrade 10.3 firmwares. You might as well sell your 10.4 3DS and buy a used or new 3DS, you got pretty much a 99.9% chance to find one below 10.4. In fact, even if a 10.4 method is found, it would be meaningless to release it now, because there are so little 3DSes on 10.4, and Nintendo would just patch it.

I kinda wonder if the 10.3 downgrader will ever be more stable, and not cause any soft bricks on n3DS.

The bootrom is well guarded, so dont expect anything in that front. It's too soon for that being in the soon™ range and it's a kind of exploit best to keep private for a long list of reasons.

What I was refering to was a (yet another) generation change. First there was the 4.X MSET era. Then there was the 9.2 *hax era (which we are in right now). There are some clues here and there to be positive of the starts of a new era (now with 50% extra tubehax dns).

Damn, Am also Stucked with 10.4 and a sitting Duck '|T_T|'

But browserhax and menuhax working with 10.4

At least you guys didn't spend an entire day getting CFW to work only to update the sysnand instead of the emunand to 10.5 :S I put together my hardmod cable last night and plan on adding the port for it to my o3DS XL tonight :(

I'm not saying this in a rude way at all, but this is why on the top screen it says "RX-E" or "rei" alongside the build version. And the developers of CFWs that don't implement this "feature" are idiots.

I hear you. I was using Cake, which does not implement any type of change to the build version :( Oh, and not rude at all! I was an idiot for not double checking!

if you only care to play games(like me), setup rxTools. My first and only(EVER I swear xD) CFW. And set menuhax to auto-boot into emuNAND. This is the best combination in my life and I'm excited about a piece of hardware after so many years tweaking my Nexus phones on xda. :p

Noted! I had to work late today, so I'm putting off the next step of my hardmod until tomorrow. Too tired to solder to the main board! I'll go ahead and grab rxTools tonight and prep the card, though. Man, I wish there was an easier way than having to hardmod it, though! Almost tempted to just run out and by a New 3DS and hack it instead :P
