It used to be just a menu, but it has downgrade code now. Haters gonna hate, as always.

The downgrade code was there yesterday, too. It just couldn't have possibly done anything because the kernel exploit wasn't integrated into the program, so all the AM: service calls would have automatically failed. I haven't looked at it to see how it's been updated since then.

Yep, nope. Keep putting words in my mouth like I said to downgrade right this second.

It will 100% be possible to downgrade without KTM once all this is finished.

Using memchunkhax2 it downgrades. By itself it is nothing but a menu. Pingo has stated this on his Twitter.
From your previous post, you said it like KTM is useless, Sysupdater is not a stroll in the park. KTM is meant to be a foolproof app that takes care of everything so that you don't have a chance to be an idiot and brick your system.

So I'm curious, does the downgrade currently even give you the option to install CFW or whatever? or just legit CIAs only?

Sure, but noobs should use it because of the security checks (checksums, regions & model checks etc). just use sysupdater with your cia pack if you want to

KTM is meant to be noob-proof, that's all

The downgrade should give you access to CFW and 9.2 kernel exploits, but since the downgrade program isn't completely done yet (at that time), it fails to give you those things. Legit CIAs can be installed via the new modified FBI, but it has a chance of bricks, so you may want to wait a little longer for a stable one (FBI/Downgrader)

It's not just a menu. It's a menu that executes a downgrade when you select the downgrade option. The code is right there, anyone can look at it and see that this "just a menu" line everyone keeps repeating isn't actually true.

Essentially, it is. I'm sorry, but if you're messing with delicate parts and electronics, you shouldn't be an idiot anyways.

I think they're salty because they listened to idiots spouting it's useless....
So what will it do differently, other than making it "safer" to downgrade, which judging from the amount of people who downgraded this morning isn't hard anyways. Seems to me it uses memchunkhax2 to downgrade, which is already technically doable without KTM. (No, I don't recommend it before people start saying I'm telling people to downgrade.)

But **not** (lol) i'm mad at your small joke, nor offended. Was it really necessary to make some remark towards a dead conversation in which I put little into and got little out of?
Sorry, but this is an open forum and anyone can comment on anything you say. Unless the thread is locked/deleted of course.
I still don't see why you still have a problem with what I did.
