05 error after installing chimp

I recently installed chimp to my xbox so that I could upgrade the hard drive.

After taking all the proper steps I place everything back and boot it up. After boot I'm greeted with the service required screen and the number 05 in the left hand corner. Any solutions?

I have my other hard drive next to me so hope isn't lost if this messed up somehow.

Still getting the error. I go to lock it from motherboard and it still don't work.

It seems my drive isn't lockable. Oh well I tried.

I would but I don't have anymore lying around. TSOP? First time hearing that one.

I looked into it, don't have a soldering iron laying around. Thank you for trying to help me though I do appreciate it.

You can get some window heater repair.
The trace pen will lay a small conductive trace that unlocks the TSOP.

It's not soldering.
It's laying enough of a conductive trace on the board so that the TSOP can be flashed.

Rear window heaters are essentially conductive traces.
Heat travels into the traces and that's what makes the rear window defrosted/defogged.
Those traces can snap, but in order to mend it again, you'd need to lay a new conductive trace.

Same technique can be applied to the old Xbox.
Just lay enough of a trace on the solder points to bridge them, allowing write access.

It's not the best solution but it works.

Oh, like on a car, sorry for the confusion.
I may just end up buying a new drive after thinking about it.
Not that I don't wanna learn how to solder, just prefer to not touch the insides of this xbox more than I have to.

Using the rear windows heater repair, you won't have to solder.
The small trace you lay between the solderpoints is enough to unlock the TSOP.
Which enables you to TSOP flash it.
