Everybody's understanding the Miiverse thing incorrectly. All 3DSs can make Miis and use Miiverse (with high enough firmware for Miiverse). The current 3DS units don't have enough extra memory to suspend play from Smash Bros. specifically to post screenshots to Miiverse while the new ones...
It has faster hardware (and lots more RAM) so there will actually be games (like the Xenoblade port) that can only be played on the new hardware
It has an extra camera for face-tracking that moves the 3D sweet spot with your eyes so it's a lot easier to see in 3D
It has a "C-stick" of sorts that...
I saw the 3DS version played extensively at the Best Buy showcase during E3 and I never saw a single slowdown. Chances are they are probably there somewhere, but for the most part it runs at a ridiculously solid 60 fps.
The limited edition comes at a really bad time with the new 3DS units launching so soon. I probably would have bought it even though it looks kind of meh, but instead I have a Japanese Chopper (from One Piece) 3DS LL and a copy of the Japanese Smash Bros on order that will hopefully ship soon.
I heard this is meant to say that the Caravan release has been available for a while on the Palau UGCity site (which looks invite-only) and hasn't made its way to the cooler parts of the Internet yet.
The small irony is that even though I have a demo code I only have my gateway 3DS with me and I want to download it to my 3DS XL instead (which I left at home expecting not to need it today) : /
@K3Nv2 I got some cheapies at wallys, that are pretty good, already have lost a few expensive ones (one falls out and gone, can't find) while cutting grass so bought some cheap ones, and of course never lose these cheap ones. (Cheap meaning only $35, compared to air buds which I only have 1 of 2 now)
