Last question and then ill put my order through. The additional wire for the 9-wire D2pro is optional? Why is it needed? -(upgradability via dvd or is the wire for regionfree?) Sorry for all the questions. Just trying to put things in perspective, as i almost ordered the D2CKey. Thanks

    Hardware Wii-Clip discount for GBAtempers

Hi, Would ay soldering be required at all? From what i gather, the D2CKey is the only chip that can do region-free without any soldering. Or will the D2pro 9 wire be the same. Basically im asking if the Wii-clip + 9 wire D2pro, will be region-free, upgradable from dvd, without any soldering...

    Hacking DS-X or X9

i have a ninjapass. Its fine. Compatibility is pretty okay. Let wait and see what will happen with the AceKard. It's just been released anyway. The X9 is cheap. So i guess you get what you pay for. Most games i have work fine. I wouldnt get a DS-X because its very expensive. If you dont care...

    Hacking Saving...

My main confusion is that someone said that the SC has no battery, so i thought it just saves somewhere on the cart, without having to switch it on and off. Well anyway, thanks everyone . If the battery dies, the cart would still work though, no saving?

    Hacking Saving...

I dont understand saving on the flashcarts. So when i play a game on the EZ4 (NDS game), i need to switch it off, then on again to enable saving? Does this happen with the other flashcarts, as well? thanks

    Hacking Supercard or M3 lite?

As i said in my previous post, there's only a 10Uk pound difference. Making it harder to pick. I mean 10 pounds is not that much, but if there is a reason then why not. Compatibility wise though i believe they are the same? Speed and game support? Forgetting GBA, which the M3 wins anyway. Thanks

    Hacking Supercard or M3 lite?

I read specific concerns, and im not rehashing another topic asked a thousand times. If you look at my other posts, you'll see i have a similar concern since i have not bought a flash cart yet. "Most users that own both SC and M3 seem to be convinced supercard is better, and like it more than...

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
