Just considering the recent trend nintendo has gone with the franchise and the reluctants to drop the motion control it would make sense to build it so now the shield is also a 1 to 1 control system. Plus things like the boomerange could be aimed with the wiimote and thrown by gesturing away...
So i thought about this for a bit and it hit me, since the tablet controller has a built in accelerometer why not make a strap attachment to sell with the game so that you can use it as a shield and have a grip bar where most of your neccessary controls could be.

After updating my r4i sdhc (non-3ds) to 1.44 the card no longer reads in the ds light and when put into my 3ds it freezes.
I need help trying to revert the patch. cant go any lower than 1.43 using the swap kart method. Any suggestions would be great like a method to corrupt it.
ok that kinda puts a damper on things, since if we had those extra 12 mb on regular flash karts you could do alot more with homebrew running in compatability mode.
The main reason i started this is because i want to know exactly how the 3ds is emulating the ds's hardware. Assuming it is, what limitations are being set? Are we able to access more than 4 mb of ram or is it sandboxed?
