    Hacking USB Loader GX

Could be the latter (memory confict) as I know I'm not able to return to UNEO for some games with the new release on vWii either. Only tested a couple but Mario Kart Deluxe is an example that black screens and needs power pulling (tbf, it's all my kid plays so he's moaning about it a lot, lol).

    Hacking USB Loader GX

Installed CIOSes patched as per your link and all working perfectly. Wii games saving to emuNAND on hidden HDD all fine. GC via Nintendont also has working saves (well, as working as I ever get them to be). Tested on both original Wii and WiiU vWii. Thanks so much for your help, @fledge68 ...

    Hacking USB Loader GX

That's my symptom, for sure. Let me try this out. Thanks for the link, appreciate it. Looks like it may be a quicker fix than I anticipated. EDIT: Sorry, quick question - I'm just going to use the d2x-cios-installer on my vWii, per most guides. Can I just replace the FAT.app components of its...

    Hacking USB Loader GX

OK, results: 1. With a drive set to hidden, (my) emuNAND saves don't work whether USB Loader GX is run on a WiiU's vWii or on the original Wii hardware (so easy to reproduce). 2. The issue exists back in r1271 too, so was probably on omission when the hidden drive stuff was implemented way...

    Hacking USB Loader GX

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll get the old version and check it out. I guess another check I can perform is whether NAND saves work on the original Wii when the drive is hidden. Not that you'd ever need this, but the check would at least then cement that a) what i'm seeing on my vWii is a...

    Hacking USB Loader GX

Quick question - always used USB Loader GX (@blackb0x version) on a modded Wii but just moved over to running it on a modded WiiU's vWii. All works great but it looks like if I hide my USB drive from the WiiU using UStealth (to stop the annoying 'format this drive?' nag) then USB Loader GX...

    Hacking USB Loader GX

It's a nonsensical change to even consider... why is it any harder pressing button 1 instead of 2? They're literally next to each other. It adds nothing to usability, just complicates your settings (if you choose to do this) or changes the existing behaviour that thousands(?) of people have used...

    Homebrew postLoader4

Hi, You've solved the issue - my homebrew is on my SD card (inc. Nintendont) and my GC ISOs are on my USB drive. I guess I need to move it over to the USB drive. I never considered it wouldn't work that way just due to the norm being to look on SD, then on USB if not present in most modern...

    Homebrew postLoader4

So I'm trying to use the daxtsu fork and have a few problems / things to report. Firstly if you blow away all the config so it can be created afresh, the app hangs once the config file has been created and Wii needs a reboot. No biggie, really. Secondly, I've not got access to old versions of...

    Homebrew postLoader4

Sooooo then. Where does a guy get the daxtsu reworking of pl4? Be nice to get it merged in with stfour's now he's acknowledged he's not really able to work on it as he once was and has effectively passed the torch to daxtsu. Would like to give this new version a bash ASAP.

    Hacking neek2o

Well this is kind of good news - it proves I wasn't doing something stupid! I will try to install DM into my emu NAND but I think I tried this with earlier releases and it resulted in my Wii simply shutting down when a title was launched. If I install DM into emuNAND do I still need the...

    Hacking neek2o

Odd. Doesn't work for me. This needs the 'standard' MIOS (RVL-mios-v10 or whatever it is) and BC-v6 installed on the emu NAND? Then those .bins in the USB:\SNEEK folder? Done that and games are visible in the NEEK overlay menu but selecting a game then launching it from the disc channel just...

    Hacking neek2o

Hate to be a noob, but can I use the diosmios.bin and quadforce.bin put out in the *NEEK DI versions of DM and quadForce under NEEK2O? That is, just drop them into the USB:\sneek folder like you can with 'standard' SNEEK? Or do I have to install the 'real NAND' DM or QuadForce WADs into an emu...

Looks like whatever you fixed elsewhere has fixed this issue for me too. Thanks. :)

    Homebrew postLoader4

PL4.4.3 seems to have a DSI when going into the 'Games' view (so Wii disc games) under NEEK2O (r96). I tried deleting all config and starting afresh - same issue.

    Homebrew postLoader4

Kind of depends on our definitions!! My actual symptom is that on being selected it 'black screens' then does nothing more, just stays like that. And for me also, yes, sometimes it fails, sometimes it works. From what I can see there seems to be no way to force one result or the other (i.e. it...

    Homebrew postLoader4

Well the DSI exceptions were just on first run so I can't reproduce them any longer. In any case once they've happened and you restart PL it's all OK so probably nothing to worry about (I'm guessing it may be something to do with having empty config on first run or something??). As for the...

    Homebrew postLoader4

Just letting you know on first run (completely new config files created on startup) there were a couple of DSI exceptions when in the Homebrew page. Seems OK now the screens are populated though. Also, although I'm sure it worked immediately after I installed the new version (clean, full...

    Hacking USB Loader GX

Hey Cyan, Quick question - would it be possible to implement different defaults for channels and disc games? In particular I'm wanting a different default cIOS for each. In my setup I'm using d2xv10-alt as the USB Loader GX default as that's what works for virtually all of my disc rips, but...

Hacking Best Way to Mod Any Wii: ModMii for Windows: Official Support Thread

Cheers XFlak, I knew I'd been able to do it before but got bogged down in the Download IOS/MIOS/sysmenu customisation area instead of in the correct bit. All worked beautifully when I did what you said. Many thanks.
