    Hacking Did they disable the pop-up cheat menu?

    One of the criticisms in the GBATemp review of the Edge was the way that unless you disabled cheats entirely, you would always be asked if you wanted to enable cheats, each time you loaded the game. Did any of the firmwares to date turn this feature off?

    Ta. That was it. Holding down A worked. Reformatting the card etc did nothing, but this sorted it. It's a shame that - according to the wiki - there's no way to force old DMA mode for one single rom. EDIT: Yep, according to the Wiki that's non-DMA mode, so that must have been it.

    I did actually have an R4, but I traded up to an AceKard when they stopped supporting it. I'm using the same genuine SanDisk MicroSD card I used with the R4, and that didn't give me any problems.

    Hacking AceKard starting directory?

    Weird thing is, Akaio has just done the same thing.. I could have sworn it remembered the directory I was in when I shut it off.

    Is there a way to have AceKard's own software start in the Roms directory all the time? Akaio does this, but AceKard seems to forget the starting directory when it's turned on. Granted, using Akaio would be a possible solution, but then again there's at least one game I have to mess around with...

    I know that my R4DS would go past the health and safety warning screen without me needing to touch the screen. Does AceKard 2.1 do this?

    although i ended up accidentally changing my nand with no way of going back bc i didn't know you needed a gamecube controller to restore it (i have a wii minus/1.1, which doesn't have gamecube controller support)

    @BakerMan, I think you're talking about the recovery mode that the SaveMii used, and also was to restore softbricked systems.

    If your NAND was hardbricked, then just buy another Wii. Or go with the dirty NAND flasher method.

    and if i find the sd card i have my NAND backed up on, i can not only restore the NAND if i solder the right part in, but i can also put my NAND on dolphin, then i can play dolphin online, like PMEX Remix or MKWii Riibalanced

    @BakerMan, Oh yeah, that was a thing too. Dolphin does support Wiimmfi.
