    Hacking Golden Sun and Acekard

    Most likely you'll trigger an Anti Piracy check later in the game, which will render your save useless. The next AKAIO 1.9 update will work properly on all cards, slow or fast. So for GS:DD I'd say wait for 1.9. BTW, which dump did you use?

    Hacking New Update?

    I must have misunderstood you then, I just wanted to be 100% sure. @Normmatt You probably have plenty of betatesters. However, if needed I can test this specific title (GS:DD) to see if the issues are gone with a specific build.

    Hacking New Update?

    Ok, very cool! Awesome job. I'll keep monitoring your site for the release. If that weren't the case I would buy a new faster card. My card is fast enough to boot Golden Sun: Dark Dawn with AP on (latency of 9052), but triggers several Anti-Piracy measures ingame, most likely triggered by the...

    Hacking New Update?

    No, what I mean is this: Will AP work with microSD's with a latency higher than 8254?

    Hacking New Update?

    Do I understand you correctly that in the future Akaio 1.9 this lowest limit of 8254 isn't there anymore? Will there be a higher limit, or none at all? Will AP (work on all cards then, even slow ones)?

    Hacking Golden Sun and Acekard

    Ah, crap... I fear that my card is too slow. Measured using that CF_Bench: IIRC that 10073 is too slow, I recall some value of 8700 mentioned somewhere. I guess it's time to start shopping for another card. As fast as possible (access times) to prevent future games from not working either.

    Hacking Golden Sun and Acekard

    -Which dump do you use? -Which SDCard? -How fast is your SDCard? (measured using HDTach) -You do not get any of these AP triggers? Like a Dim Dragon, missing certain key items etc? -How far are you in the game?

    Hacking IOS updates, checking installed versions?

    I just got Punch-Out (PAL, retail) and ran into a few minor difficulties trying to run it. Solving it was easy enough, but it got me thinking a bit. My Wii is running 3.2E, and I've made a NAND backup using bootmii/boot2 so I can safely experiment. 3.2E On 3.2E I get the update message in the...

    Hardware EZ-FLASH IV and GBA

    Did you use the EZ4_Client util to put them on your EZ4? You can't just drop the .gba files on your miniSD, you must use the util.

    Hacking EZ-Flash IV - get working GBA games

    My EZ4 (classic, for GBA) just arrived and I was playing a bit with it before getting back to work. I'm wondering what's the best way to get all games working properly. EZ4-Client handles the savegame patching for both PSRAM and NOR RAM. Both seem to work fine, after resetting the savegames are...

    Hacking EZ-Flash IV mini-SD -> which mini-SD?

    It's only for my GBA, not for my DSi (%#$! Nintendo). Ok, ordering the regular mini-SD.

    Hacking EZ-Flash IV mini-SD -> which mini-SD?

    I ordered a EZ-Flash IV mini-SD for my GBA-SP (completing my collection). Ofc I need a 2Gb mini-SD too. Is a regular mini-SD good enough or is a highspeed (80x) better? The mini-SD is only used for reading + flashing games, right? So a lower speed mini-SD should be plenty. Right?

    Hacking Realtime clock feature necessary?

    Is there a universal patcher for stuff like that? GBATA does it for 2 Pokemon games, but nothing more.
  16. Q

    Hardware GBA SP, frontlit or backlit?

    I'm checking ebay and local auction sites, but it's hard to find a decent affordable one. Apparently there are more backlit versions that just the graphite, pearl blue and pearl pink. However, finding out whether an SP is old (AGS-001) or new (AGS-101) is hard.. Especially since reaching...

    Hacking Realtime clock feature necessary?

    I'm gonna grab myself a GBA flash cart soon (once I decide which) for some old classics (on my GBA or to-buy SP). It'll most likely be an EZ-Flash IV, however I am unsure how useful the realtime clock feature is. Which games use it and require it? I assume the pokemon games, but can I also do...

    Hardware GBA SP, frontlit or backlit?

    I'm looking for a decent GBA SP to play my GBA games since I'll be getting a DSi too soon (old GBA = dead). I'm not sure which GBA SP I should get: the old frontlit or newer backlit version. The newer backlit version is much harder to get, so I'm tempted to buy a cheaper frontlit SP. What's the...

    Hacking DS vs DSi - which to get?

    Life is all about making decisions and making concessions. I will only buy new 1 handheld, and want to come to a good decision. I'm not the only one trying to make this decision. Having all points, both + and - may make it easier for other people too. The points I stated (and got from other...

    Hacking DS vs DSi - which to get?

    Ok. I'm leaning towards the DSi now. I can live without a slot2, as long as we'll have native DSi homebrew soon(ish). Anyway, ofcourse I gotta buy some accessories with it (screen protector, flashcart, SDHC card). I'll probably wait for the M3 Real i next month. No real hurry.
