Before, my fan was installed with crappy and airy thermal material on, and I was idling at 65`C and loads at 105`C. I got that off and put some Artic Silver 5 on, and now it's much better. It idles at 25`C and loads at up to 75`C. However, I want to get it down more. Will the eventual "burn-in" period make that much of a difference?
The fan had come up on one corner several times after I applied the paste; could that have made air bubbles?
EDIT: The room the computer is in is on the top floor, and the room temp was probably around 75`F, which would be around 24`C, which would explain the case temp being around that.
EDIT 2: My CPU fan is running at around 2000RPM constantly, should it be much higher? It's the stock fan that came with my Core i3 540.
