  • So, can anything be done with the various kiddie handhelds? You know, like those 'leaper' things? Salvageable parts/screens/or ?
Whats superior? Water Bears, Polar Bears, Grizzle Bears, Chicago Bears, or the Berenstain Bears?

In my case, I think I've always preferred 'character games' as opposed to space shooters. Back in the day I always went for stuff like Smurf, Mario, Rastan, Crystal Castles, Dig Dug, etc. while many of my friends enjoyed Defender, Asteroids, Galaxian, etc.

I love the look of those Atari 'picture label' games (got most of 'em), but Asteroids never gets touched, heh.
So what's this I hear about a version of the SOR remake being available on PSP?

I can't even find it for the psp, I'm gonna look into it later.

And i said what openBOR is. It's a streets of rage engine. Can play custom games that people make using it. Might interest ya.

Ooooo, I’ll have to look into that.....granted, I’ve never done any of those processes for myself (my handhelds were set up for me), but I suppose I could give it a try and hope for the best!

    Thanks -

The psp is pretty easy and straight forward when it comes to adding things like homebrew and such. If you have any questions or need a little help, get at me. I'm always down to lend a hand.

So, is the Vita open-ended now, like the PSP?

I don't think so. There isn't even a proper hack for the latest firmware... I wish there was.

Ah, bummer. I thought after all this time it'd be ready for roms/isos. I keep seeing 'em at the local pawn shops and second hand places, cheap as dirt.
I'll wait until they've been (hopefully) made open-ended.
Goodwill/yard sale/taco truck day! Fingers crossed!
