Hacking Games that won't dump?

Just wanted to chime in that I too had another problem with Shadow of the Tomb Raider after getting around the 72% copy progress issue. When I went to build the packge I saw this "Format of the Param File is not Valid".
I figured out what the problem was. I had installed patch ver 2.00 from orbispatches. Looking at the change notes I saw this "Full game remaster in order to fix memory and loading issues due to the high number of patches since the game launch". So it looks like after enough patches the dev's mark it as a remaster which probably supersedes all content from the base /disc. I deleted the game data and instead installed patch 1.19 which worked flawlessly.
You can also try using orbis-pub-sfo to un-check the "remaster package" box but when I did so and saved I was treated to another error. Going with a lower patch version was an easier way to fix it and I honestly didn't notice and difference in the game's performance.

Not a solution, but I'm running into the same issue as well.
First, App Dumper gets stuck on 92%. I changed the language to English (US), Spanish (Latin America), French, and Brazilian Portuguese. I even changed the language to Japanese just to see if perhaps it was a language pack that I didn't think of, including Italian and German, but still nothing.
I had a similar issue with Spider-Man and that's what did the trick, so I figured that it would work.
Then I tried renaming the bdcopy file, and sure enough it started dumping. However, after 5 hours of letting it run endlessly, it never finishes.
Bumping the thread to see if someone has a definitive answer because it's the only game (out of my physical collection of 98) that seems to be giving me issues
will this method work with PAYLOAD GUEST pkg cos that is all i can use on 9.0 firmware cos i have a esp device and you can dump games with that but any games i try to dump it wount dump full games only a few files.
