TheXTech is Wohlstand’s reimplementation of SMBX in C++ with SDL2. I was able to get the game to compile and “run” with SDL2. But, it wasnt very good at all. Today I started implementing the PS Vita renderer based on vitaGL and I finally started getting some sensible input! I was having a lot of trouble converting from pixel sprite source rects to texture coordinates, but I finally got it! Enjoy.

I never seem to hear much about Super Mario Bros. X. I've seen a few videos and it certainly looks very impressive, but I guess it couldn't compete with ROM hacks or Super Mario Maker?

You can do much more in smbx then you can in Mario maker. Don't know about ROM hacking tools though

For the life of me, I cannot get this to boot. Keep getting the c2-12828-1 error. I have followed the directions in the video to a T, and uninstalled and re-installed the vpk multiple times, to no avail. Google didn't even have a clear answer.

Am I the only one having this issue?

have you the extracted libshacccg.suprx

because you need to do that check the Install Instructions https://github.com/suicvne/TheXTech/releases/tag/v1.3.5.1-vita-alpha
