I didn't know which part of the forum to put this in, because it relates to all of the consoles.
Its been a couple of years or so since i soft modded my old 3ds, and i longed for a time to be able to play the handful of exclusives and some of the tougher to run homebrew games as well as a more comfortable form factor for my growing hands. After roughly 10 years as a 3ds owner and now a 2 year switch owner (felt like i was really behind on that one) i wanted to move forward hacking wise. I've withheld from hacking my switch because it's not only patched, but I am sharing it and it's games with my family. I'm now looking for a new project that is a bit fresher than the 3ds scene. Projects and archives have been born and died, the enthusiasm of the community grows weaker each week on this dying platform, so what next?
I've considered hacking:
-New 3ds XL for diablo 1 port, BoI, and minecraft
-PSVita/PSP because i've never seen one in real life
-PS4 because it's fairly strong, but at that point i may as well get a pc for normal games
-Switch/Switch lite because it would be a successor to my 3ds in emulating and to go games, as well as being less dead than 3ds
-wiiu because once hacked, it can play the entirety of nintendo's library pre-switch
-steam deck because it is hackable to an extreme degree because of linux.
I am open to both hardmodding and softmodding, as long as nothing has a +50% chance of blowing up.

You can hack the Switch and setup emuMMC for your CFW & homebrew needs.

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
@The Real Jdbye, I thought about that and I have blank DVD's and Blurays but honestly after like 90 songs I just listen to it a couple of hundred times toss it out and burn something else or have like 2-3 CD's. Florida here the heat in the car tends to ruin the CD's after like a few months even commercial pressed ones don't last too long.
