[UPDATE] Nintendo Switch firmware update version 12.0.3 available, only to be pulled after issues

I don't know if Nintendo is really fixing the problem. you're able to preorder several of the games shown during their e3 presentation. however, who's going to trust the download system after all these problems?

yeah, that's why i don't like getting games digitally, for downloading issues like this one on 12.3.
i really hope nintendo fixes it or they will have trobule and lose customers and sales from the eshop or worse no one will buy a switch to play anything if they can't download anything on it (games/updates/dlc).

for those reasons, im sticking with 12.2 atm until a fix happens. i do not want to update to the problematic 12.3 FW that will make my siwtch not working.

I had a similar problem with playstation and my account specifically. it would keep saying "an error has occurred" with no error code on the ps3, and if I tried adding funds on playstation.com, it would say the same thing. I contacted playstation several times, and they could find nothing wrong with the account. it only worked to download stuff once, then it would never download again. I bought a super slim ps3 and several games on psn to go legit, but it didn't work out at all due to that. it was a new account too, so it couldn't have been banned. wouldn't have been able to access psn even if it was. anyway, due to that issue, I don't plan to buy a ps5. it would suck to buy several games, get trophies, etc. then have this happen again with another new account. after about 9 days of trying, I gave up and got retunds on all my games. luckily, playstation was understanding enough to do that for me.

i did get the update on my system, but didn't install it, i
just went online to check something on the eshop and it was downlaoded,
but i removed it from my system by going into recovery mode (power + Minus/plus buttons)
and the update file (12.3) was gone,

im staying on 12.2 until nintendo fixes the problem with 12.3 with 12.4.
luckly the ehsop and games don't need the update 1.3 to work, not sure about new games/pacthes etc?

good thing for recovery mode that it can remove the update, and it works on offlical FW too

I only get update. Or restore factory settings...

so , did you update to 12.3?
if you just donwloaded it to the system but not installed it yet, you can remove it by going into recvoery mode (that removes it).

a sort fix, for the meantime until 12.4 comes out. i hope.

No exploit, problem is with their CDN, take a few try of cancelling and redownloading to get the game and update to be downloaded, exploit has to be on the bootrom level. There is no bug to exploit for patched/mariko unit at the moment.

I think the size is a typo, because 3.2GBs? isn't ys viii over 10GBs or around that size?

alright, the age of calamity dlc tried to download, but it error'd apparently. I tried to download it manually, and it error'd again. the next time I tried it, it went through. that wasn't too bad, so I might redo my preorder of mario golf, but I need to think about that.

Is 12.0.3 mandatory for Age of Calamity DLC? I'm on 12.0.2 and can access eShop, and my internet is fine. But Age of Calamity refuses to download, I tried a lot of times. (Yes, I bought and I had pre-ordered the DLC).

Edit: Just tried downloading Link's Awakening Update but it doesn't either.

the issue might be fixed (not sure) @Lightyose . I just bought alex kidd a few moments ago. the game was preloaded on my system, and it downloaded first try. on a separate switch, I downloaded the age of calamity dlc, and it also went through first try. and, the night before, a game update was downloaded to that same switch without issue:

just tried downloading on my hackable system. saga frontier update, rtype final 2 update and dlc, age of calamity dlc, and alex kidd deluxe went through first try for all of them. the problem might be fixed or I'm just lucky or maybe it's improving? I'm going to download alex kidd to the Mario switch later.
