Halo Infinite releases Holiday 2021, campaign and online mode will launch simultaneously

Microsoft's biggest system-selling IP, Halo, was one of the major topics discussed at their E3 2021 showcase. A new trailer showing Halo Infinite's online multiplayer was shown, giving fans their latest look at gameplay and the modes available. After already confirming that the multiplayer would be free to play, 343 also revealed that both Halo Infinite's story campaign and online modes would launch simultaneously. Cross-platform and cross-progression will be featured as well. However, Halo Infinite still lacks a definitive release date, though it now has the estimate of Holiday 2021.

Please. Please, this franchise is near and dear to my heart, PLEASE don't fuck it up this time. This looks so nice, Microsoft, just... Please be careful. Keep your promise with the LAN play, don't force-feed us monetization that gives people an actual advantage, just.. Just make a Halo game. Please.

I'd like to believe that all developers these days know that putting pay to win dlc is suicide for a game

I'd like to believe it too, but I've been proven otherwise. I've seen various things my friends have wanted me to play that have obnoxious, yet subtle pay to win mechanics.. Apex Legends is a good example: Either grind forever to unlock all the legends (took me a few months to get two of 12 or so) or pay $40...
