Hey,

Currently I am facing an issue with my Nintendo Switch. All started when by mistake I pressed the update button when I was trying to play a game.
Suddenly the console rebooted and since then I can't get the console to boot correctly.

RCM and Hekate seems to work fine. I wasn't using the switch much the last few months so I wasn't sure what HOS version I had on.

The steps I followed was to backup my nintendo and user folder and then reformat and apply fresh files for atmosphere fusse hekate etc.
I presumed that I wanted the latest releases and so I did it. After the whole procedure I am getting greeted with unknown package 1 after selecting either option to boot(sys emmc emu emmc etc.) .

HOS version on hekate nyx menu says 9.0.0-9.0.1 but i am pretty sure the last time I used the console I have updated it on 10.0.0.but I could be wrong.

Please help a desperate fellow, If I have not provided enough details or you need screenshots etc I would be glad to provide them.

Thanks in advance!

Are you running sysnand,? Do you have previous backup? Boot0 and boot1 is corrupted I assume. Can you run lock pick rcm to extract keys.

are you using updated payload ? do you have SEPT on SD card
The issue is that I don't know what payload to use because I am not 100% which software the nintendo switch has on.

Yes I tried to run sysnand too. I don't have previous backup unfortunately . After I formatted the SD card I did a new backup for the boot 0 boot 1 and also i emmc etc. Also I ran lockpick as you mentioned.

my guess is, the game said, "there is an console update"
newest firmware is not yet atmosphere supported, so wait and see
I was hoping for someone to said that. Is there any way to check what software my console has when I can't event boot to the OS?

Also thanks a lot for your prompt replies guys I appreciate it a lot!

@AncientBoi, Yeah, believe you can do PSP games as well. But a Pi5 is much powerful in comparison.

Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Other games I can have turned up to like 2X and all kinds of enhancements, Motorstorm hmmm nope 1X and no enhancements lol

I will admit that one does seem more interesting than the usual Ambernic ones, and I already liked those.

    I dread the price point.

This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

    To me that seems reasonable.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150

Yeah it's all choice and that's a good thing :)
