Hardware 3rd Party JoyCons not pairing

Hi friends,

I got 3rd party Joycons (these can be charged via USB-C on the side) but am not able to pair them with my Switch at all. Those Joycons are a little wider than the usual ones.

I know they are fully charged but whatever I do, it looks like I cant pair them.

Any ideas?

oh the home menu go to controller then change grip

If it was that easy, I wouldnt ask for help. There is no response from the joycons once I do this.

I think, the Blutooth may not be working.

have you tried connecting them to the consol first?
what does the manual say?

What controllers do you have? Because if they are from Ali, big chance that they don't have bluetooth.

Kind of strange to include charging ports and no wireless, but I guess I wouldn't put it past them...

Without knowing what 3rd party Joycons you have it's kinda impossible to offer you the correct solution.

Most likely your switch is already paired to the maximum number of controllers (Which is "8" afaik)

Unpair all (from the settings), then try again.

I have uploaded pix.

As you can see, I can press the "pair" button and the are trying to pair as the lights are flashing. Also, you can see the USB-C connection. Does this help?

Update: I only have 4 pads / joycons paired so far.

Yes, not working

Yes, im pretty sure my brother them bought them off Ali. They are "made in China".

Absolutely! These are the ones I got.

However, I dont get them to connect.

Ok give me a few hours or so as busy at work at the moment and I will see what I can find out about them and hopefully come up with a fix. Or if someone else can help before I can even better lol.

Has the problem been resolved cause I’m have the exact same ones and they are not connecting
