As most guides will follow the steps
1. "create and etch android img with 'balena etcher'"
2. create emunand on microSD via tegraExplorer and hekate

Is it possible to do the reverse ?
Aka. "Create EmuNand"
THEN
In-Post add Android img to the already existing setup ?

Hekate can do all of this. You don't need a guide.

figured something out bruh? I'm in the same situation.

The best way you can go about this i think is to flash android first. There will be another way in linux but you need to seperate the compressed image first for the existing files 16,32gig... etc
Once android exists I do believe you CAN change the partition size inside of hekate.
Ps i literally just found this vid tutorial, it is for creating 2 emunands, although after installing android it should work just fine for 1.

Let me know how you go.

Meh I'm not going to wipe my memory card. Trying to figure out if it's possible to install Android in the left over space without wiping my current emunand setup.

In that case Id try asking on the ubuntu or switchroot forums about how to extract the contents from a compressed android.img, so that hekate can flash them. Switchroot seems dead, so you might have more luck asking on the ubuntu thread here.
Oh I should mention too......The android pie google drive link I believe has the uncompressed twrp.img, youl need to go through building it to obtain the other requisites though :P.

One way to do it, is to use a premade image (that contains partitions for Android/and-or/Ubuntu and an (at the very least empty one) emunadn one, then use hekate to "reimplement" your own emunand.

SwitchSD is another way to do it. (If you can get it to work...).
