I also had some really funky stuff happen on one of my switches. Never fixed it, sold it and got a new one... But I would try to exhaust all options even ask the atmosphere and various other discords. Def try the recovery packs too

Thanks.. tried the recovery package from @mattytrog a couple different ways with no luck (applying patches directly to the Switch and building a rawnand offline based on a system backup) but with no luck. At this point I feel like it has to be something like a hardware issue.. not sure what to say. Might sell it like you did. Would still love to fix it though.

I read someone suggest trying to boot Android/L4T to narrow down hardware issues.

But I def understand the frustration as it takes a lot of time to troubleshoot these issues and if your spending more time doing that than playing the switch that sucks.

Probably not that helpful, but philosophically, maybe... How do you value your time? $10 an hour? $20 an hour? If you buy a cheap broken Switch off Ebay and planning to fix it, how much does it really cost? You have to add the time you will have to spend trying to fix it, too. So, something to consider, unless you're having a blast trying to resurrect it, and would do it all day. In that case, you just bought something broken off Ebay to entertain your tinkering addiction.

Haha yeah.. Your point is well taken and it's definitely feeding the tinkering hobby/addiction. I like fixing things and get frustrated when I can't figure it out. Since starting this thread I've bought a second Switch for myself and a Switch Lite for my wife, and now all three of us in the house are playing Animal Crossing (my son being the 3rd). :) So technically we have four Switches, only three of which are functional.. and one that I'd still love to fix for the sake of fixing it.

Hi guys,
I'll explain my issue: yesterday, I was playing Animal Crossing and then the screen froze with an error message from SXOS. Then I pushed power and black screen and nothing else.
My Switch is in 9.2, SXOS in 2.9.4.
Since then, can't boot either on OFW or CFW.

What I did for now:
TegraRCMGui, inject Hekate: works on my Switch. AutoRCM is enabled, I disable it, reboot in OFW: nothing. AutoRCM keeps being enabled.

briccmii: failed init emmc: so I know it's an issue with emmc/ BUT I don't have a backup...

Do you guys happen to know what are my opions now?

Thanks!
