Here's another log file. This time I booted into the system menu before launching Priiloader and kept everything else the same. See if it makes a difference.
what the f*ck?
thats just odd... there is no actual information, including the text that should always be there when booting system menu
did you check SD and usb for the log?

how did you get the 0.9 beta? through priiloader or through github?
normally that error only shows up if the installer was booted without a (correct) meta.xml in the sd:/apps/priiloader folder or if the installer was started with the ahb enabled and IOS36 isn't patched (which it usually isn't these days, and shouldn't be either).

i don't distribute 0.9b3 with the full folder package because its a beta, and should only be installed with care. hence the error im guessing :)

please get the update through priiloader (after enabling beta updates) or place a correct meta.xml (from the 0.8 release or something) with the boot.dol on the sd

I did check my SD and the game USB that I have installed.

I think it might be that you told me to enable logging after I launched Priiloader, so when the system menu boots, logging wasn't enabled I'll try enabling logging, rebooting the Wii to System Menu, then load Priiloader and do the other steps.

Alright @DacoTaco

If this log doesn't work I don't know what will. Here are the exact steps I took to get this log:
- Booted to system menu
- Launched Priiloader
- Enabled logging
- Held down power button to turn off Wii
- Booted to System Menu
- Launched Priiloader
- Went to System Menu Hacks
- Exited without saving

that log looks a lot more populated, does it not? ;)

few things i notice :

1) its complaining about a hack not looking right , and i can't find that line in the hacks file you shared
2) when booting system menu it didn't detect any hack as being enabled.

this tells me that your hacks file on sd/usb probably isn't the same then one saved on the wii.
can you go into the hacks menu and save your hacks, then try again?

if the issue is still there, go through the steps again so i can see the log then :)

Sorry, was a bit busy. Anyway, I tried ensuring my hacks were set the way I wanted then I saved, however it did not make a difference. So I got another log here. I did notice looking inside my hacks file, and I noticed there was an entry for replace health screen with back menu (one of the hacks I use) in there about 13 times. I don't know if it's normal or not, just noticed it.

that the hack is in there multiple times is normal, its for different versions of system menu (pay attention to the hack min & max versions.

however, i hate to see that the issue is still there. i know what is happening but i don't see how it got to that point.

could you please disable the autoboot & return to options in priiloader, enable debug info , and boot this from HBC
http://upload.dacotaco.com/priiloader_hacks_debug.dol
in this dol, go to the hacks menu and give me the log.
it -can- load the hacks slower (giving you a black screen for a few seconds), but thats cause its logging A LOT more right now.
while in the hacks menu, check if 'Block Online Updates' is in the list on the bottom.

ive also changed some things in the file loading code, so maybe the issue is fixed now too.

So what you want me to do is load Priiloader on boot by holding reset, enable debugging, then load to the Homebrew Channel from there and load that dol, go to the hacks menu, and get the log?

I've successfully updated one Wii (not mine) but with my Wii, I'm experiencing the same issues as DaWiiMaster with the health screen options. I've downgraded, checked to make sure those hacks worked again, then went into the settings to download the beta and tried again, still had the issue with the health screen. I'm on 4.1U, upgraded from Priiloader 0.8.2.

You've mentioned a few different logs you would like. Is this what you would need from me:
could you please disable the autoboot & return to options in priiloader, enable debug info , and boot this from HBC
http://upload.dacotaco.com/priiloader_hacks_debug.dol

when looking at that log, it seems my change did kill the bug. i guess some wii's/sd cards handle the reading past EOF differently.

either case, please try to install priiloader with the following dol
http://upload.dacotaco.com/boot_hacks_fix.dol

if the hack works now, i suggest @AzzidReign also tries it.
i'll make a new beta release once its confirmed working (since this is a breaking bug)

So I tried using the DOL you sent in an individual folder, and I got an error about some IOS not being patched. Then I remembered you said it's caused by not having a meta.xml file, so I replaced the boot.dol in my Priiloader 0.8.2 installer app and installed Priiloader using that, however it made no difference, my hacks still do not work. Here is a log I got from Priiloader (after installing from the dol you gave me)

that makes no sense. the test dol you ran showed that it loaded the hack fine, yet here it shows an error?
you verified in the test dol that the last hack ( Block Online Updates ) was in fact in the list, right?
and with this version it's not, correct?

Oh shoot, I totally overlooked checking that. I'll see if I can reinstall the original 0.9 beta 3, go back to the original DOL, recheck that, and then reinstall the modified DOL you sent.

Okay, so the last hack was in the list in the test dol, and it remained it the list with the updated install you sent.

ok, so the hack is still there meaning it loaded nicely.
if you open the hacks menu, enable what should be enabled, and save.
do the hacks work then?
