Hi,

I'm looking for something similar like in the thread "Wireless 360 controller to Switch?" here, but I have a more specific case and need other answers.

I need a way to connect 3 wireless xbox 360 controllers at once to my nintendo switch. So that player 1 can play with the normal switch controller and the other 3 can play with the xbox 360 wireless controllers. My advantage is, that I already have the official microsoft xbox 360 wireless adapter for pc.

So what is the cheapest way to realize it? Definetly under 50€, best around 20€. I hoped that I could just buy the 8Bitdo or the Mayflash "MAGIC-NS" and plug the microsoft wireless adapter in the usb output port of the adapter. Is this possible? So similar like it's possible on Titan One or the CronusMax, but just way cheaper. The mentioned ones (Titan One/CronusMax) are just too expensive and complicated, so I need an alternative for these ones that are way cheaper. If there is no alternative I would maybe buy the Titan One as I saw it for 50€, with this one it should work as mentioned, right? Anyways, I would prefer alternative ones.

I believe you would need 2 Mayflash Magic NS Adapters to accomplish what you're wanting to do. Each adapter only works with 1 controller.

I assume you would probably need another Microsoft Xbox 360 adapter too but I am not sure I use a wireless Dualshock 3 and don't need anything but the Magic NS.

As far as the other options you said I cannot say I have only used Magic NS.

Do other adapter like Titan One and CronusMax work with multiple controllers? I would prefer to use just one adapter for all 3 controllers?

If your Switch is not patched and you're running on a CFW, your dongle will be recognized natively as soon as you'll install sys-Con. You'll be able to connect up to 4 different controllers wirelessly. Otherwise, I think the cheapest and best product for that is the Mayflash. It has an USB in port for your dongle (you'll need one Mayflash for each controller you want to connect.

Yeah but there's only 2 usb ports in a switch dock correct? Or is there a 3rd one inside of the dock can't remember.

Thanks @dotmehdi, your answer helped a lot and gave me new keywords to search for. Is there any adapter for multiple controllers? Or is there a way to use my xbox 360 pc adapter for multiple mayflash like devices. Do you know any mayflash alternative that is even cheaper or a good xbox 360 pc adapter alternative? ^^

And am I right that it's quite risky to use syscon online (because of getting banned)? So is syscon a custom firmware?

Edit: Or is there an adapter just for the xbox 360 wireless signal (2,4Ghz right?)? Is it save to buy the mayflash on aliexpress?

@AncientBoi, Yeah, believe you can do PSP games as well. But a Pi5 is much powerful in comparison.

Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Other games I can have turned up to like 2X and all kinds of enhancements, Motorstorm hmmm nope 1X and no enhancements lol

I will admit that one does seem more interesting than the usual Ambernic ones, and I already liked those.

    I dread the price point.

This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

    To me that seems reasonable.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150
