Hacking Question SX OS 2.7.1 on Firmware 8.0.1 Not working?

SOLVED) It wasn't fully fixed UNTIL I removed themes titles (all of it) AND replaced the BOOT file since it was kinda corrupted.

I've updated my FW to 8.0.1 and downloaded the latest BOOT.DAT 2.7.1 once done, I did the whole power + vol hold with the dongle and it loaded the logo, but it did not load the menu saying "An error has occured" I can also normally boot up the switch, it's just that I can't seem to get into RCM anymore

By the way, I've tested on both Jigs a new one and an old one. Same results that I can't seem to get into RCM mode

I have the same problem, try redownload the boot.dat file and replace it.

Sorry it took me this long to reply I was busy doing chores.Its solved now. It wasn't fully fixed UNTIL I removed themes title AND replaced the BOOT file since it was kinda corrupted. Thanks for everyone's help

How are you finding older nsps working? I am afraid to update from as there are tons of reports of older titles not working even on the hotfix tx released

I think we need to wait again for TX to release another SX OS Update. Some of the nsps are not working for sure. You can always try using xci, they work fine.

Im not using older NSPs, most the older games I've finished I deleted except for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 which was working fine for me. As for Caligula, I had to install the update first and then the NSP for it to work which was kinda odd since the reverse always worked before. I also use Choi to 8.0.1 and not officially updating it

Im not into nsps, but i use HBG Shop to install them and updates too: https://thehbg.store. You can check it out.

If you have a banned switch, you can use it without a problem. If you are banned go ahead, use it. I have a banned switch and use it, it works fine even with the ban. But there is a risk that you can get banned if you are not yet. I dont take responsibility for this.

Delete the 0100000000001000 folder in sxos/titles. This should work.

hey guys, i kinda have the same problem, but i updated my sx through its update link on the switch and my sister accidentally updates the switch ofw, i use to boot up my switch via the android sx tool app but now when i plug it in my phone just turn on in ofw, got any ideas? i already replaced to boot.dat file, deleted the themes folder, used the new payload but still nothing! i bought the switch with the cfw on it already so im a complete noob with the switch scene. any help would be appreciated thanks guys

what about emunand?
does the latest SXOS support 8.0.1 emunand with lower sysnand? or does it only support 8.0.1 sysnand like last time they pushed an update for 7x ?
and are there any differences with NSP's between sysnand and emunand? Ie, do they work on 8.0.1 sysnand but not on 8.0.1 emunand?

Try loading the payload with your PC through TegraRCMGui

i mnanaged to get into rcm mode, when i use tegra to inject thepayload i get the sx os screen for a flash then a black screen.. probabl;y something simple but i have no clue

Not trying to be rude, but I've already told the solution on my first post to delete TITLEs which was obviously the numerical folder if you bothered to search. Someone answered, but you ignored them and went into this instead which BTW already repeated the answer. What was the point? I don't mind if it's something else entirely but it's the same exact stuff plus you ignored your own thread lol

Well in the end it doesn't really matter as long as it helps people being stuck
