sorry i dont think you need the key, all take a look after work today and see whats up.

so it was the installer, im sorry i did not test it better be for switching.

it seem to be fixed now, as i uninstalled ssbu_amiibo and pyamiibo. and then i was getting the same error as you.

the new fix seem to be working.
thanks for testing for me. it helps !

i think i found an oversight in saving. when i pick decrypt amiibo i get to pick a bin file and it automatically becomes a bind file but when i try to encrypt it i only get to choose a bin file which is already encrypted and if i click save nothing happens. no new file pops up or was i supposed to replace it?

if the amiibo is named "Kirby.bin"
Decrypt amiibo picking the file "Kirby.bin" will gen/replace the file named Kirby.bind in same dir, "Kirby.bind" can be opened with the Open command to prevent the need to re-decrypt
Encrypt Amiibo you will see the "Kirby.bin", picking this file will replace the with any changes in the editor. if instead you type a new file name in the box aka "temp_Kirby.bin" it will gen a new encrypted amiibo called "temp_Kirby.bin" in the same dir as "Kirby.bin".
edit sorry missed your ??
Save updates the "Kirby.bind" saving any changes in the editor.

so i saved and i decrypted a backup bin and it became a modified bind file. encrypt amiibo does nothing for me for some reason. doesnt make a new file as i expected. only way for me to save was to backup a file which in this case had only a skill in slot 1. i added 2 new skills and decrypted the backup file and the backup became the same except with 2 new skills. 1st skill and values are not changed

like i know im supposed to encrypt it to save and when i do nothing happens. the date of the file doesnt change

EDIT: found a visual bug. if amiibo 1 has skill slot 1 and u add 2 more to it and then switch to another amiibo with only the first slot occupied, the second amiibo will show its original skill plus the 2 new ones applied to the first amiibo but its not actually applied.
TLDR it doesnt unload the skills when switching amiibos and saving is bugged

no problem, don't have the most time this week to work on it but i appreciate the feedback,
i was able to address the save problem by adding a save as, button.
the ui / skill slots will update now on new loading or on save.
let me know what you think

also i found out why it didnt save. slots overflow prevents it from saving. if i have 3 3-slot abilities and try to save nothing happens. if i have 3 1-slots then it saves thats the real reason why

new problem. after saving, files from tagmo are 532 bytes and are saved as 540 bytes bin files. tagmo cant recognize them. saving even if u dont change anything adds 8 bytes for some reason

Hum all mine are 540... but to be fare I use
Just to confirm you will need to have update the amiibo first by loading it in SSBU this will write some new data back the the amiibo, then make a backup of this file and load it with the editor.

done that already. it turned out to be 532 after i rip them with tagmo

this is fixed now

oh yea about that hehe. i meant i wanted something like 3 3-slot abilities per amiibo (breaking the limit) but the save fix was crucial too

yes im a cheater. i was hoping i could do that and troll my friends

idk, the app will create a 540 byte file, few ??
Do you start with a 540 byte amiibo file?
If not what size was the file you stated with?
Load the bin with tagmo and update in game, saving back to the amiibo ?
Riping with tagmo gives you a 532 byte file?
Will my app load this file?
If loads after re-encrypting the bin file size is now 540 bytes?
tagmo cant recognize the re-encrypting file?

thanks

its 532 bytes after ripping from tagmo. after i decrypt and encrypt it with ur app it becomes 540 bytes. ur app loads 532 and 540 bytes but tagmo doesnt recognize it
