This was similar to my game plan with sony psp's (1000, and 2000's). buy one with broken umd drive pandora battery mod it, buy a big memory card. then you got a good deal.

with a broken screen it's going to get to expensive and time consuming to be a good deal.

the deal would be to find one with a broken cartridge slot.

Not sure where you're gonna find those cheap broken switch. Lowest I'm seeing on ebay is around $150 and then you still need to find the trouble, get the replacement parts, a compatible charger (around 20$ if you want to use a dock one day). Then the joycons are about $60.

All in all, you'll have paid around $250 depending on the broken part, with no guarantee of the Switch ever working, for a system worth $300.

if you have a friend with a switch i'd suggest just picking up the tablet using his joycons to test it and just purchase ur own at a later date if u buy a broken one theres now way to know if your gonna be able to fix it urself
