The morpheus method might get delayed since it requires a online connection through a video app to work properly.Sony has the ability to patch it with a application update.
The way things are going within the scene I'd say 5.05 is the new 3.55 of the ps3 era. 1 game isn't worth losing the ability to play 100's of ps4/homebrew backups
If you gotta play a new game the best advice is to buy a cheap ps4/that doesn't come with a controller or any extra stuff that would increase the price. Thing is jailbreakable ps4's are becoming more pricey now.

Just one game? Theres more than just one game on later firmwares right now that cant be played on 5.05.Unless your not interested in rdr2,spiderman,spyro or kingdom hearts 3 and many other games that released and dont have a pc port yet,then you arent missing out by staying on 5.05,but to say that you are updating for just 1 game isnt really true.Atleast not anymore.I should change this polls title.

There are nearly 1200 games for 5.05 not including emulators and ported games now.
Plus ps2 pkgs and psphd games...
Don’t get me wrong there are good games out there, for me things like beatsabre and moss looks amazing, creed and blood and truth (I’m a VR fanboy rn), but:
Spider-Man was crap, RDR2 was fun for a while, kingdom hearts can’t be finished without an update, and isn’t spyro like a download token on a disk or something?
You’re really not missing much in the grander scale by updating.

Yeah i understand,but its still more than one game right now.Thats what i was trying to point out.Most people already have a pc for emulation and stuff anyway and just want the jailbreak so they can get the exclusives on the ps4 without paying.I can understand if you dont have a decent pc for emulation + third party,and use the ps4 instead on 5.05 as a retro machine with whatever third party backups you can get.

Well if you really want to update to play a few new games which you have to "Buy" then thats your choice just don't be upset if a new exploit drops. Its situations like this you don't put all your eggs in one console

I honestly dont expect anything new this soon.The ps3 3000 did get the han exploit though last year,so anything is possible over a course of time.Like i said in a previous reply,i think the morpheus method is most likely going to be withheld for a while untill we find a better way of taking advantage of it,and just like you said about not putting all your eggs in one console,we dont want to put all our eggs in one exploit that will get patched once its released to the public.

I don't break my console, but I would say no to you and just anyone who is interested in the Spider-Man game... the story is just your regular Marvel movie, but way worse. You can actually watch a Marvel movie once and enjoy it to some extent, but this story? They literally took the best elements from the 2nd Spider-Man, then some from Amazing Spider-Man and made it all progressive copying the Marvel film...
Gameplay-wise, it's just Batman: Arkham but worse + towers from Ubisoft, which everyone hates but surprisingly nobody hated it in Spider-Man. =/
Graphics look great, yeah and Spidey's costumes are incredible but the city is dull and lifeless, it's literally the same street over and over, the same buildings... character design and overall design is just so bad.
You know, when those older Spider-Man games that nobody can remember now, came out, do you think nobody bought them? Those movie adaptations were selling like pancakes. Why? It's a game and the graphics looked nice when it came out. Same thing with Spider-Man: people like the character and they like the graphics - boom, sold out. One thing that is different nowadays is that game reviewers have to understand what is going to be popular. They can't bash a game like Spider-Man for being objectively poorly made because they know they'd loose the audience. It's not the time when you can be objective, it's the time where everyone wants comfort, those "Happy" pills from We Happy Few.
So, yeah. Play Web of Shadows or Shattered Dimensions, or Ultimate Spider-Man if you want a really good Spider-Man game - those are the best!
