Sooo the mailman just dropped Child of Light + Valiant Hearts which should come out the coming week.

Cool thing about it though is that the games come up as individual games on the Switch Homescreen
Thus meaning implicit that multigame carts are a thing

Which is something I have not seen before on Nintendo Switch itself or did I overlook a title that had that? ( I heard a Hasbro game had this aswell)

With that in mind ... I wonder how the filestructure is setup and if and how dumpers will interact.

Ok went ahead with testing;
SX Dumper 1.01 ... only sees Child of Light
Same goes for GCDumptool 1.06
Same goes for latest WAIN

Also sidenote with SXOS the games crash after user selection (Could not start the Software)
Not in the position to test other payloads at the moment ... but im kinda expecting them not to be handled as well.

Updated SX Dumper to the latest 1.0.3 and re-checked but no go.

But beside the obvious; we need a dumper capable of dumping these multigame carts.
What could there all be coming in a multigame form; Metroid Prime Trilogy (too soon?) how about a Legacy of Zelda Collection?

Anyway discuss and do with the info as you like.

You can use just NSC Builder and pack multiple games to one XCI/NSP (or multiple DLCs and updates with one game).
It's not something new.

Thanks for that insight I guess.
Does not answer more about what I mentioned but still.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Mind testing how is it seen on Goldleaf's title manager?
Sure, give me a minute to see what it does.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Updated Goldleaf to 0.3 just to be sure.
Manage installed tickets sees them both as independent titles.

EDIT;
BUT it does not give you the title options to take further actions.
Ok my bas that should not even come up in Goldleaf for carts.

Hi there. I managed to check the cartridge image layout from one of these games and there should be no problem dumping them.

My current guess is that they're just two or more regular NX applications with different NCA content files bundled inside the same "Secure" gamecard partition. Since the dumper takes care of the operation at a very low level (e.g. dealing with raw data storage objects instead of the actual FS), this is essentially bypassed and the whole cartridge should still get copied.

It is true, however, that problems may arise while trying to get the cartridge information, like the Title ID. Only the information from one of the bundled applications may be returned, just like you said. I'd like to find a solution to this problem.
