How did you achieve 16:9? I enabled Banjo-Tooie's widescreen in the game menu and tried both 16:9 and 16:9 adjusted aspect ratio in the core setting, but the image still looks thin. N64's output is always technically 4:3; the widescreen option only compresses a 16:9 image into the 4:3 frame. How do you make the core stretch the output image back to be 16:9?
Change the apect ratio in the video settings to 16:9 or core provided

Just finished StarFox 64, without issues, small detail its the massive lag when selecting mission, but its worth it, can be played from start to finish.
Majoras Mask crashed after playing for about 30 minutes with a black screen, and crashed the whole system.

i am still having the same problem in Blast Corps, all levels with RDU remote controlled car is fucked up, unplayable, the car or the controls for the car are reversed with no way to steer it left or right

please look into it

What's the difference between setting the resolution to 16:9 vs 16:9 adjusted?
16:9 is regular 16:9.

16:9 adjusted is basically rendering 3D as 16:9 and 2D overlay as 4:3, basically extending the rendering area offscreen outside the original 4:3 frame.

So if you use 16:9 adjusted and in retroarch's video setting choose core reported aspect ratio, you can nearly perfectly convert any N64 game into 16:9. Because you are seeing things you are not supposed to see, sometimes there is clipping or disappearing issues around the edges, but mostly it's an improvement.

it simply works for me. you need to wait for a loooooong time but it will eventually load. but the game is so slow and full of graphical errors its unplayable. weird, because Conker, the later game from the same studio, is now pretty much playable, except being a bit slow.

I can't believe how well this works with everything I throw at it, how is this only the alpha? It's insane!

I found the classic goldeneye weapons on combat simulator mod for Perfect Dark and playing it near flawlessly is just nuts.

@m4xw you are a god

can you try Blast Corps, i am unable to finish some levels because of broken controls, same rom finished the game on my PC+Project64, i am suspecting there are still some Control emulation bug

its the 2 levels that come after the Flying Robot Tutorial with 2 Jet engines (lvl 3 and 4)
The RDU car should have
Press A (B on switch): Move Forward
Press B (Y on Switch): Move Backwards
Press R: Turbo Boost (right now it boosts from front of car........)
Left Joystick should let you steer car to any direction, but it doesn't work at all.

please check

Common Guys at least one person other then me is a Blast Corps Fan

In Goldeneye and a couple other games the controls seem mixed/Duplicated ?. So when i push forward he looks down or up when im moving ? I instaleld the nightly 1/17 and the latest Mupen.

Also is there anyway to get Excitebike working ? The menus show but the gameplay is just a black screen with some of the 2d artwork.

Thank you

You may need to disable analog to digital in input/user 1 binds.

You want to setup a remap, look at Quick Menu > Controls, the you can remap the N64 controller as your liking.

well perfect dark actually has those settings in its options in game

other wise you set res in retroarch once game is loaded under options
