I have an idea for an application that many people would enjoy. It would be an application where it would load URLs from a TXT file in the SD Card, and that TXT File would contain Names and Locations to various other Homebrew Applications, Pirated Games, and others of that sort (3dsx and cia's ONLY). The problem with this is that I do not know how to make 3DS Homebrew Applications. If someone could work on Developing this with me, it would be greatly appreciated. I could work on finding Software to put in the database, and we could use GitHub to host a repository for it. DM me on Discord at: Lasklo#1699, or reply to this thread if you are interested.

Hmm.... it would be nice to have such an application where we can download games from the txt file, since freeshop and cia angel no longer work....

You DO realize that hosting pirated games IS illegal, right? If you have a "database" with ROMs and whatnot, you better expect some lawsuits... If all you want is to move game CIAs to your 3DS to install, just use FTPD+FileZilla with CIAs downloaded on your computer. As for homebrew database, you can't very well start hosting people's apps without permission, so you will have to either reach out to each dev individually to get permission or wait for them to come to you. Either way, this app while possible is not worth it and won't see anywhere near as much use as you think it will.

We would not host anything ourselves. For the Software, we would use the Dev's download links, and the Pirated Games would be from *snip*

And as I said, that would require the dev's permission for the homebrew, you can't just include someone else's homebrew in yours even as a link without permission from them, it's common courtesy in hacking scenes. There are people who may not want their apps to be in such places, so you have to either wait for them to come to you to tell you they are ok with it or you have to personally ask them. As for the pirated games, that IS illegal, you are openly supporting piracy and promoting it, so not only would you not be in a grey area but rather a clearly illegal one but also it would be against the GBAtemp rules. FreeShop COULD pirate games, but was intended for use with your OWN key database file you'd dump from your 3DS. It's just that people used a key database that let them pirate, that's why it was in grey area, it wasn't straight up a pirating tool like you are trying to make.

Would it count as Piracy if I were to make my own dumps of the games, and make it to where people could publish their own dumps for games to the site?

Not to mention they are not going to last long on the temp here if they registered today, and the first two posts out of their yaps was a outright pirating tool and mentioning of warez sites.

uhm. yes. very much so. its piracy to provide the roms in any way.
