Hacking PS3 freeze on NBA 2K

Hi friends,

I hope anyone can explain to me this mistery...
I have a PS3 slim running the latest Rebug.

All my ps3 games are on iso format (I usually convert them all).
All games (all!!!) work perfect except NBA 2kX games (nba 2k17, nba 2k18...).
No matter what I try, I experience a weird symptom:

1- the games boot fine..
2- the games freeze for about 15 seconds, then unfreeze for another 15 seconds (freeze, unfreeze, freeze, unfreeze... and so on).
the sound remains audilble.. the freeze is on the picture. HDD activity led doesn't seem to be busy... I see it almost off ?!?

My configuration:
PS3 slim 4.82 rebug DEX
Cobra on
Webman installed, nothing more...
HDD Seagate 1,5tb almost new...

What I have tried:
1- Apply several game fixes for lag, etc... (same problem)
2- Use Folder format instead of ISO (same problem)
3- Run from USB flash drive (same problem)
4- Download another release... (same problem)

Googling for this problem, don't go anywhere... Some people have freezing problems, but randomly... not on only one game. not on NBA to be precise!
Have anyone experienced anything like this?

If it's only one game in particular, I doubt it's the same case as one of my friend's consoles.
His PS3's HDD (and possibly a couple of other parts) is faulty and tends to freeze and slow down a lot when playing certain games, such as Diablo 3.
Did you also have the same issue when you used the original HDD your PS3 came with?

I bought my ps3 on 2nd hand.. and it came with an old Rebug cfw and a 1tb HDD. Also it came with an NBA game installed on HDD on folder format and at that time I remember it worked. I remember it has multiman installed as well.

After installing the new 1,5Tb HDD this is the only game that seems to not work correctly. I don't use Multiman, so I did not installed it. Is it really necessary? I'd rather prefer Webman since the games are on XMB directly.

The only difference I can noticed different is that this new HDD has a slower spinning speed.
