Hi guys

Got a question regarding an update nag that bothers me now for some time.
My switch is on firmware 6.1 with latest Xecuter OS version.
My lately installed nsp's won't start with the known "super" update nag.

I have never updated to 6.2. Does this have something to do with burning fuses? (Sorry for noob question)
In my understanding it shouldn't. Tried several supernag removal tutorials including the factory reset reboot method and this one:

Is there any solution for this or is this a well known issue?

Sorry have to push this thread once, as I have the feeling, that no one else experiences this issue. Every thread suggests to do the recovery menu reboot method. But it is definetely not working for me. I can record this phenomenon if it helps to understand my problem.

Edit: could it have to do something with the nsp, not my switch? Some kind game dump that has been created of an already updated game, but the update files being removed afterwords or something?

Happens to me too. Booting to recovery does nothing. Currently having this problem with Zelda botw rom, maybe that's because I've installed a newer revision along with the update nsp?

i had this problem too. Maintenance mode wouldn't make it go away until I turned on 90DNS as well. Have you tried that?

Yes I tried it right now, no success. Actually I could't imagine it to work, as I never turned off air plane mode since I updated to 6.1

I will try to uninstall the software completely from my switch and sd card and reinstall it to see, if thiswill have any effect.

is it that your game won't load/start at all. or is it just that you the little window asking you to update pops up when you start the game and you can then click "start software" and it will start?

I can't start the game at all. It's really annoying!

I've tried to install the update files now. And it seems to work! That's really strange... it's like the not updated game nsp knows that an update is available even without being connected to the internet. Is this even possible? Maybe the game was dumped with updates installed and split afterwards somehow. I have no idea! So the only solution is to either install the corresponding update nsp's, or look for an alternative nsp file...

That happens when you've played a newer version/newer update of the game on that Switch than the one you have installed.
The Switch remembers the latest version it has played, and won't let you play an earlier version.

Back in firmware 5.x and below, the solution was to use the "Reset RequiredVersion" in DevMenu. But DevMenu no longer works in 6.x and above though.

I first read about this issue with Mario Odyssey speedrunners, wanting to run both version 1.0 and 1.2 (they are separate categories, as 1.2 fixes a lot of wall-clipping glitches/shortcuts). Once you run 1.2, you won't be able to run 1.0 anymore, even after uninstalling and reinstalling the game.

This could be true! I played all games updated before installing the nsps. I also trief to delete the game BEFORE installing the game, so either the switch itself remembers which version was played before OR it has to do something with the savegame. Although I rather think it has to do with some logging by the switch as savegames won't play any role while trying to start the software.
