Hacking On New 2ds XL is NTRBOOT + Luma3ds CFW Possible?

Hi all!

I've been researching NTRBOOT for awhile and picked up an R4 SDHC RTS flashcard listed as usable in the guides. I kinda follow how to set it up; so I wanted to get a couple New 2ds XL's for some christmas presents since Bestbuy is doing 30% off orders and $30 off of $300. So, my question is can the New 2ds XL get hacked, if so can I use NTRBOOT?
